Okay, finally! Not that anyone has really been waiting for this, but I'm so glad to have it finished and posted. These are the main characters from my in-progress musical called "Gallery 28", about freshman year at an art college. I'll give a short description of each of them.
Left to right:
Jeannette "Jeannie" Morris Age: 18 One of three new-found best friends: she, Julie and Evan meet in class and become close. Jeannie, true to her rebellious nature, falls in love with Chris Armsted, her drawing teacher. Jeannie is character I would play if I was in a production of this musical. <3
Julie Larson Age: 18 Julie is pretty much the main character of the play. She is trying to find her voice and build her artistic capability, as she should, but this is impeded by Carla Mendes, who overshadowed her at her art-based high school. Julie's new mission is to step out of Carla's shadow and prove herself.
Evan Asher Age: 18 The third of the trio. Evan is a videographer, and is sweet, laid-back and very into boys. ;] He starts dating Brandon, and their relationship is central to the biggest struggle Evan has during the show.
Brandon (Haven't thought of a last name yet) Age: 19 Evan's boyfriend, and a sophomore at the school they all go to. Though he looks like a hard-edged, brooding emo kid usually, he's really very kind and romantic. Not to say that he isn't a daring, visionary artist, though. Brandon is probably an illustrator with a concentration in fashion illustration.
Luke (Haven't thought of a last name for him, either) Age: 18 Evan's roommate. Luke is a performance artist, and also a total pothead. He definitely gets on Evan's nerves with his weed smoking, and also unknowingly contributes to a large problem that Evan encounters in his relationship with Brandon.
Chris Armsted Age: Late 20s Julie, Jeannie and Evan's drawing teacher. He is young, talented, and very good looking. Jeannie falls in love with him.
Carla Mendes Age: 18 Went to high school with Julie. She got into Cooper Union and Pratt Institute, but ended up going to the school she does because of the costs of NYC living. She won a Gold Key in high school, got many scholarships and other awards, and was always the favorite of her art teachers. Julie feels threatened by her, not wanting to be overshadowed like she was in high school.
Damn that was long. O_O; Hope that sounds interesting!!
